Why Engrave?

As a Personal Gift

Dale Carnegie, the famous author of "How To Win Friends and Influence People" and the developer of the well known public speaking courses, opined that people love their names. They love to hear others say them and, of course, they love to see them in print. Speaking a persons name to him or writing it bespeaks respect and recognition. Nothing satisfies that in the same way as personalized engravings. Additionally, engraving creates instant keepsakes the recipients will always possess and will forever remind them of the thoughtful givers. You can be sure that your personalized pen or pen box will occupy a place of honor in the lucky recipients home or office.

As a Business Tool

There is hardly a business that doesn’t rely on name recognition. Businesses NEED others to know them and to remember them. For that reason successful businesses invest heavily on a variety of advertising methods... television spots and print (magazine and newspaper) ads are two prominent examples. But another huge (multi- billion dollar) method is..."stuff". What the advertising industry refers to as "novelties"...a demeaning term at best. This includes everything from key fobs, calendars and beer can holders for the masses to all expense paid vacations and diamond studded watches for those in the penthouse corner offices. We’re not making light of the practice or the products for it does, indeed, serve a necessary and vital purpose. The key to remember is that the quality of the gift reflects on both the giver and the recipient. We’re proud that a growing number of significantly placed concerns are choosing our writing instruments and engraved display boxes as part of their promotional efforts. Call us to discuss how we can help your company.

WE DO OUR OWN ENGRAVING

For years we have successfully complied with requests for personalizations thru the services of other area specialty engravers. "Farming out" is the term. But now it’s even easier with the acquisition of our own "in house" equipment. The result is quicker turn-around times and lower costs for you (and we no longer must pull our hair out waiting). Turn-around time for our engraving is faster, less expensive, and we don’t ship unless the work is perfect.

ENGRAVING OPTIONS

Classic Engraving. Historically, engraving has entailed the removal of base material. Sort of like scratching the surface only with purpose and intent. Because the material being engraved is of the same type and color thru and thru, the letters or designs being carved are the same color as well. Additionally, due to the limitation of tool shape and size, the choice and size of letters is likewise limited. Examples of this type of engraving are found on older trophies, watches and jewelry.

Sublimation Engraving. This type of engraving as all but taken over the industry. The reason is instantly apparent at first glance. The letters or designs are a contrasting color, they’re larger and bolder than is otherwise possible and the font style is unlimited. Hands down, this type of engraving is the preferred option of customers today.

Sublimation Engraving
Laser Engraving. The newest kid on the block is laser engraving. At first blush this method appears to be the same as classic engraving as it entails the removal of material to reveal relief carving but there’s where the similarity ends. The differences are profound. First, with laser engraving there is absolutely no limitation in style or design. Lasers are capable of engraving with unbelievable detail, as small as a beam of light and as large as, well, totally huge. And as if that weren’t enough, lasers can engrave wood, plastic and glass with ease. Need a name or company logo engraved in a display box? No problem.

CUSTOM PRICING

As no one person’s needs are going to be identical to another’s, it’s not possible for us to list one engraving price that will fit everyone or every occasion. But don’t be scared. Engraving is very, very inexpensive and when compared to almost anything else its downright cheap. For example, a typical name might involve a set-up charge of $10.00 and a per letter charge of .20 (cents). "Sgt. John Doe" would cost only $12.20! Whatever your engraving needs are, give us a call or email for your own custom quote.
